OCMGA Board & Committees

Volunteer hours can be earned through OCMGA Member Meetings and Committees.  OCMGA Committees work together to benefit the organization and the Outagamie County Community. Volunteer Hours are earned through planning, preparation, and helping at activities, as well as serving on the Board. 

OCMGA BOARD Lorie Stoltz, President – The Executive Board and Committee Chairs shall be a guide and resource for the membership.

COMMUNICATION Kim Lesperance – The Communication Committee will provide and maintain all forms of member communication, including a quarterly newsletter, Tuesday E-Mails, OCMGA Blog, OCMGA Facebook, OCMGA website, and development other methods of communication as needed.

FUNDRAISINGJaci Micke & Sue Turner – The Fundraising Committee shall be responsible for securing funds to maintain the organization by coordinating all fundraising events and activities. This includes the annual Plant Sale and Garden Expo.

GROUNDS/GARDENS Deanna Vanden Heuvel & Donna Nett-Heus – The Grounds Committee will coordinate and maintain the gardens, located on the UW Extension Grounds at 3365 & 3375 W. Brewster St., to be used as demonstration gardens for the public.

MEMBER EDUCATIONNancy GoodmanThe Member Education Committee will coordinate training of new members, arrange for programs for monthly member meetings and provide continuing education for existing members.   

MEMBERSHIP Diana Van Straten – The Membership Committee shall be responsible for ensuring strong member involvement including welcoming and orienting new members and offering volunteer activities for the members.

PUBLIC EDUCATION OUTREACH Kim Lesperance -The Education Outreach Committee will coordinate and oversee all educational events and programs open to the public.  Subcommittees include Garden Conference; Appleton Farm Market; Outagamie County Fair; Garden Walk; and “Master Gardener Presents” at libraries.
